War of Words

Lost, confused, and broken. This fragmented project depicts the reconciliation of my mind after the loss of the video and pictures that I had taken since my birth. In-between the words and frames of animation here, you will see the attempt of a broken man to consider his past, future, and present.

The following project is split into two segments. The video below exhibits the latter segment, which is based around the effects that words can have. The gun takes paper (words) in through the top, cuts it up inside the barrel, and shoots out slits. The goal of this is to represent the notion of words motivating soldiers into harms way. Something spoken about by journalists (Christopher Hitchens), poets (Wilfred Owen), novelists (Erich Maria Remarque), and playwrights (William Buckley Yates).
